Questions, answered.
01What do I need to get started?
A plan — every one of them includes animation. The smallest is $9 a month for 80 credits, which is 7 five-second loops and the images to build them from, or 80 images, or any mix in between.
02How do credits work?
One credit creates one image: a new mascot, another version, or a new expression. 10 credits creates a five-second animation. Creating the base image uses a separate credit, because an animation always animates a mascot you have already approved.
03What happens to unused credits?
Plan credits are valid for the current monthly billing period. At renewal, unused credits expire and your balance resets to your plan’s full monthly allowance.
04How long does an animation take?
Usually a couple of minutes. The clip is rendered, the background is removed, and every export format is packaged before it appears. You can leave the page — the job keeps running and the result is waiting in your project.
05Will my mascot work on a dark background?
Yes. Every mascot is delivered with a real transparent background and soft edges. Switch the phone in the “In your app” section between light and dark to see the same asset on both.
06What files can I download?
Still images are transparent PNGs. Animation exports include animated WebP (plus lighter and small versions), Lottie JSON, WebM, GIF, MP4 on white, and PNG sprite sheets with a JSON manifest. WebP is the recommended starting point, and the export window shows the code to use it on web, React Native, Flutter, iOS and Android.
07Can my AI coding agent use Mascowiz?
Yes. Mascowiz works over MCP, so Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client can create a mascot, show it to you, animate it and add the files to your project, using your credits at the same prices. Create an API key on your account page; the guide at /agents walks through the setup.
08Will my character stay consistent?
Every expression starts from the character you approved. That helps keep its features and personality consistent across the set. Small variations in pose and scale can still happen between independently generated images.
09What if a generation doesn’t work?
Your credits are returned automatically when a paid generation fails. The corrected balance appears in your account.
